WHAT TO DO AND WHO TO CONTACT TO ENJOY A DAYS TRAMPING WITH MARLBOROUGH TRAMPING CLUB


  1. Leaders contact details  are listed against each trip and they will be able to provide you with further information about the trip if you require it. Otherwise use the contact form on the left of this page.
  2. Weekend tramps leave from Seymour Square.   Midweek tramps from Horton Park

  3. To book PLEASE contact the trip leader 3 DAYS prior to 1 day tramps and  at  least 7 DAYS before an extended trip.   Wednesday tramps -book by 8.30pm MONDAY 
  4.  Provide the trip leader with your name and phone number, and a contact number in case of any delay in returning from a trip, plus details of any relevant medical conditions.
  5. If you are unable to attend on the day please contact the leader or someone you know that is going so that the group is not kept waiting or looking for you. 
  6. Under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

  7. Departure times are listed and we are generally back in Blenheim 4.30 -5 pm but as this cannot be guaranteed it doesn't pay to make important evening appointments on tramping days. 
  8. Transport costs  are also listed. You pay your driver or if taking your own vehicle your passengers will pay you. 
  9. Please ensure you CARRY YOUR OWN FIRST AID KIT, waterproofs, warm clothes, and adequate food/drink requirements.  Many of our trips are above the bush line where the weather can change dramatically in a short time so warm layers are essential.. Water is not always available so carry a plentiful supply.  
  10. Trips on private property only give the map number and general area to protect the privacy  of the landowners.
